The Hawk and Hare sits 800 metres up majestic Mount Myoko on the border of Nagano and Niigata prefectures in the Akakura ski resort. Besides free shuttle service to all the Myoko area ski resorts and JR Myoko Kogen station, we offer the same for whatever attractions you choose to visit.
An immaculate 12-court clay tennis facility behind the inn makes summer a good time to enjoy Myoko's cool weather. From autumn to early spring we offer our exclusive programs of instruction in the ancient art of falconry. Also, daily cross-country ski/hiking jaunts are offered in winter (with one of our hawks soaring along with us).
Enjoy tennis and mountain biking, as well as Alpine and Nordic skiing in winter. We are situated next to the Akakura Golf Course, and golf clubs are available for rental.
At night, relax, sit by the fire and take a load off. The pub bar is well stocked with both English and Irish beers or spirits, as well as the pub grub you'd expect.
Come join us for this unique B&B experience.
