Asahikan is a friendly minshuku run by the Koshigoe family ( including the dog and cats ) since 1930. Located at the base of Yuzawa Park Ski Area, Asahikan will pick up all guests at Echigo Yuzawa Station and take them to any of the 19 ski resorts in Yuzawa at no extra charge.All of the Japanese style rooms are clean and spacious, and the Koshigoe meals are highly recommended, with a pleasant mix of Western and Japanese style food on the menu.

The Koshigoe family are extremely friendly and helpful and make all guests feel very welcome. If you are lucky you may even get a lesson from the ski expert himself ( Mr Koshigoe )!

New Tashiro Naeba Gondola : A new 5481 meter Gondola spanning from the Naeba to Tashiro resorts will open for the first time this season. The Gondola – claimed to be the longest in the world is an 8 seater and the journey lasts about 15 minutes.

Tashiro Lifts : A new hooded quad lift (#2) and #3 Romance lift begin operation this season, along with another gelende and new off piste zone.
